Today, I watched as two kids played in mud as I was coming home from work. I was "hell! I won`t do that for all I know in the world! But the truth is I was once a small child and I behaved like those two kids.

How often do get disturbed about a news that may affect your own very soul? In most cases, if the therat is not sio close to you, you have nothing to worry about except in the case that you know somehow that the danger can get to you.
Many people who were used to eating chicken stopped about a few years ago at the fear of bird flu. I never get carried away with such fallacies however. I continued to eat and enjoy my chicken. At least, you all know that I`m not dead yet.

When you are in love
stars can fall at your bidding
the moon can swallow the sun
and love` s moment itself
is a perpetual miracle
a trip to outer space.
Those unable to find another love
agree that loneliness
is the perpetual fire
after the first love,
there is no other.

I have fallen in love
ten times out of ten
with light, dark, tall and short
girls, all claimed they loved me
but who has nurtured the undying love?
They passed through my heart
like comets which faded across the sky.
What is the meaning of love?
I remember names--only names
as they erode into my nostalgic past.
I remember the trysting tree
how I waited in the dark like a hunter
night` s next of kin lying in wait
an angel emerged from the dark.
I remember nights I ran back home
feeling like a king, a conqueror
after some triumph over sweet romance
a lover` s hope, wish and bliss
are nothing but wandering wings.

Eight years after exchanging
love for love like clothes
I got married to the one girl on hand
happy but gripped by the fever
of wedlock -- and was I fortunate?
Marriage is more than a lotus meal
dreams fully wake, no longer a joke
from doing the dishes to settling the bills
from throwing tantrums to hugging and kissing
it` s hard to abscond from the vow.
True love cannot be borrowed or sold.
Now I know what others have known for ages
that we can learn to look on love
as a gift taken from nature` s palm
but teenage love is timorous
and the thoughtless youth
is in the hour of ignorance
severed from lessons of endurance.
Is love a game of chess?
Sometimes I wondered what`s next
we have been to the top, bottom and between
at other times we marvelled
for seeing the airbus land
where we took off --it s always been the same
the same face and the same laugh
I have always known and courted
for years without wavering or faltering.


How else can love be explored?
I have never come closer to the riddle
than when I lie in the sun
counting my blessings like beads,
or when I stare in her eyes
to find that the sweetness I have known
in her is not overshadowed
by fear, solitude, pain or grief.

Everyone in the house must know how to keep potable water clean and free bacteria.Foremost in parents`mind is the ability to teach children the importance of keeping drinking water safe, even while they are still toddlers.

Before they drink water, they could easily put their hands into the cup, thereby introducing bacteria into the water before theyr drink it.
Teach your child how to cover potable water so that even if you are not around, he or she will know how to protect the family`s source of drinking water from bacteria or fungi. Teach them how to wash their hands with soap after using the toilet. this is an important step to cleanliness as well as good health.
Heating your water is also important to the family health. I personally do not like to drink boiled water because of its taste. But I acknowledge that it is very important for maintaining good health. it may not be necessary for you to boil water always as tap water can be clean since it has already been treated. However, inadequate chemical compositions sometimes my cause sickness to result from one`s drinking the water

For me, I have come to see that walking is the best type of exercise I can engage in. Jogging may not be that bad, but if done too much you start to lose weight. And I guess that is bad for those who are already skinny like myself. If jogging is seem too hectic, go for brisk walking.

Health Insurance

Can anyone really insure his/her health? I once told an aquaintance of mine in Nigeria about health insurance and he told me there can never be anything called health insurance.

Not long after that I started to rationalise that his words were true. At least we humans often get sick. Many people in Asia and Africa cannot afford three meals a day, let alone take up a health insurance. Man has has had his own share of pain and suffering.

In places like U S A, people are more familiar with health insurance because standard of living in those countries have inmproved a lot. What many poor Africans hope to achieve, which is usually a dream remains the everyday items or pruducts of enjoyment for the average Western citizen.

Recently, however, the same friend of mine came to me to admit that now he knows about health insurance. This means that Africa is catching up with the rest of the world, albeit slowly.

Your child needs you at all times, you are responsible for his health care, and upbringing. Parenthood is all about sacrifice.

I have been thinking about how to get more fat in my body. I look so thin! And most people would advise that men be thick, stronger sturdier, to look good. I wonder what is really wrong--maybe I`m not so healthy or it`s the worms in belly that eats all the good stuff I eat.

I look at other people who are battling to lose weight; what in the world makes them get big everytime they try to get lean. I agree that your make-up can make you fat or thin, but I used to be big, with my thighs struggling to tear off my knickers.

Not that I`m crazy about gaining weight, but I understand that whenever i get sick Ilook like an AIDS patient in about a day or two. I know that there are soe of you out there who feel the sae way I do, but believe; we are all healthy: Aren`t we?

Health And Old Age

All aspects of our lives borders on healthy living. Without good feeling about oneself, and a wellbeing that tells much about the positive way we live, there`s no way to keep fit. I know some people who complain of having back pain today and having headache tomorrow. There seem to be no end of the discomforts.





It doesn`t necessarily need to be that way. Enough exercise has be said to be one way in which anyone can drive away those lactic acid that hangs themselves out in the body and causes discomfort for us at various intervals. Keep your mind free from anxiety as much as possible—it is not as if you wouldn`t worry at all—I`ve had my own share; but it is about balancing out with an optimistic perspective as an approach to life and and all it brings on us.

Of all that one does, it is pertinent that the future be the main focus --old age brings about it own aches and those problems easily results in chronic diseases such as heart failure, high blood pressure and stroke.

Whatever the case might be, maintaining a balanced view of life`s experiences ensures an average healthy living.

Travel And Your Health

There are some places in the world that you can travel to and that can endanger your health. I do not know if you have ever heard of hotels or places with hotels that have cockroaches crawling their walls. Especially is this true of Africa, and Asia. Do not be fooled by any recommendations you cannot trust. Make sure you know that the place you are going to rest up in the daytime and nighttime is safe enough. There was once a rumor that Michael Jackson did not agree to go for a world tour in a country just because he felt that he would not be safe health wise in that place. I do not blame him at all.

When you travel to a place, make sure that you just do not drink their water anyhow. Even packaged water or those in bottles can be very dangerous to your health. What about the water? The same goes for it. Be careful even when you just stepped out to the next city!
