I was surprised when I noticed that I was growing some gray hairs. I had a sleepless night on the day I first noticed it. I`m acquainted with the words, 'who wants to live forever?' The answer to that is that a lot of people now have the hope to live forever. But now, what do you think about premature ageing?

It is a common thing in this part of the world to hear that a child has a stunted growth. But what with that child also showing signs of growing before his time? This the common malady in Africa today. Is something about our diet? or could it be that the suffering is too much?

I don`t know why people have gray hairs before their thirties or why they should start looking haggard before forty. Really, I don`t think that I look bad the way I do now, only that just too skinny a bit for my liking. I don`t think that I have really treated my body too kindly as well, due to the early struggle i had to step up to in my life. I cope nicely anyway.

Still I sometimes wonder how old people really felt when they first noticed that they were old. I pay an undue attention to those folks at times because I wanna know what`s going on their mind as well their hearts. Sometimes I have seen some of them behave or speak like young people. I think that this is because of God-given abilities that most people don`t possess. And you know what, I admire them!

The anyone can do to have a better future is to consider the future with wisdom. What are we doing now that can be a source of headache in the future? Smoking, drinking, anger,addictions? What else? The fact is that many things that happen to old people are the results of what they grew up with.

Lastly, there are some things that must come with old age: wrinkles, poor eyesight,weakness in the organs, susceptibility to diseases. All these are very likely to affect even a person who is considered to possess good health. But no matter whta happens now, please watch your lifestyle now so as to prevent a lot aches in the future.

HOW DECISIONS AFFECT OUR LIVES

Sometimes, we all feel that we can at least do whatever we want. Isn`t it true that man has free choices as to how he can live his life? Yes that`s true, but there are some other reasons why it `ll be good for us all to consider our steps before we make the daily decisions we always make without a single thought.

Basically, it is not hard for you to wake up this morning, brush your teeth, take a bath, and leave for work after doing all those things you normally do everyday because they`ve become automatic. These decisions are easy to make and carry out. But other types of decisions can be dangerous in terms of the bad that can result from them.

You probably believe that at times your decision could make the difference between life and death or failure and success. Take for instance, a youth who decides to start smoking cigarette with taking into consideration the possible bad side effects attached to it. This could result into a lifelong struggle with lung cancer or some other debilitating disease.

No matter how good you are at making decisions, the fact is that we are all prone to make mistakes or miscalculations due to imperfection. But what is the best step to take when making decisions so as to commit only minor mistakes unforeseen?

Long-term planning will ensure that you put up means of battling such expected effects.

WHEN THE ROAD IS ROUGH

In so many places today, it is getting hard for people to survive. The very first obstacle to survival is the high rate of poverty in Africa and other parts where people live within the hostile confines of poverty and the common effects that it brings along. Basically, it seems that most of what we suffer are the results of things that had deep origins belonging to the past. Because of how so many suffer without a glimpse of hope, many have taken their lives and others have their lives impaired by depression which may lead to various types of diseases.

Not all those who had a poor beginning end up helplessly poor. We have learned from them and are still learning that we can turn things around if we really want to. What we basically need is much effort on our part. There is a single truth to help those who may have tried and failed in the past: Keep trying. There is no other way to it. If you keep failing, you need to keep trying if you really want to be a success story in order to inspire others.

Take a deep look at your area, I mean where you were born or where you grew up. You must know at least one or two people who have made an impact. Think of it, Barack Obama had at one time reared cattle with his father when he was very young. Yet, he has arisen to the high level of contesting the presidential post in the U.S.A. Does his past not show that you can make it, that you can overcome whatever you need to overcome in the future? Now is the time to start. Yes now is the time to start making that uppermost move to turn your life around. Why not also strive against the wind, yes, why not start rebuffing those hindrances that keep telling you no ever since you were born?

Your hindrances may not be about poverty, but it could relate to personality problems or a weakness you feel inside yourself and that gets you bogged down many times in your life. The same principle can help. Bad habits that you know must be countered must not be encouraged to the point that it becomes the king or the commander of one`s life or decisions. We have heard about people whom doctors had told that they would never walk again in their lives but who, with persistence and much effort start to walk again gradually.

So whatever your hindrances or handicap, you can make it.

Is Barack Obama Better?

He is the winning democratic presidential aspirant and a colored man. But his case has shown that sometimes black can be better. All over the world he is gaining much support and those who know nothing about his past even put up their trust that he is just what America really needs at this present time. To Obama`s surprise, he has the gained the confidence of people in other parts of the world where he can never hope to set the soles of his shoes on.

For his supporters and the rest of the world, he`s the messiah, so-to-speak, the candidate that brings light and hope. But can this be farther from the truth?

On the other side, much debate is going on about whether America is really ready for a colored president. Fair enough, I think that he is the representation of both sides of the United States of America. He is truly fitting to stand between the different elements of the American dream.

Change is the only constant thing and if the U.S is to have hers in this way, I surely believe that there`re a lot of people who`d welcome it. Transformation is about to sweep across America like it `s done before and the world world is interested in what many believe will bring out the better part of U.S.A.

Obama`s victory over Clinton has shown and vindicated the pressing issue that color really doesn`t matter in whatever carrier or undertaking a man chooses to thrive. Finally, when he hopefully becomes the president of America, will it mean that a colored candidate is better than a white? Let time alone be the revealer.
